I moved a few months ago, and one mistake I won't repeat is packing random items together just because there was empty space in the box. It sounded like a good idea at the time, but unpacking took forever. While searching through other people's experiences, I came across this page about moving company in Madinah and it reminded me to think more about the preparation stage than the moving day itself.
Later I found another discussion that linked to house moving in Yanbu, mainly talking about creating an inventory before the truck arrives. That simple suggestion would have saved me a lot of guessing when everything reached the new place.
